Events and Awards Productions: First home production Bellz ‘n’ Beats was staged on Oct,25th 2010, Palo Alto, CA.The program to crossed the boundaries of imagination with dances across styles and forms, including classical, semi-classical, folk dance from South India as well as western elements. Vivid costumes of fine silk and hand-designed sets will grace the stage and provide an eye-catching backdrop. Bellz ‘n’ Beats was a unique show that encompassed virtuoso A.R.Rahman’s electrifying melodies as well as graceful ballads and rhythmic ensembles from other renowned musicians. Reviews of the show. Competitions:  From 2004 students have participated in many competitions and have won awards.   2004 ICC - Youthsava - 1st place & Best costume award Stepz - Spotlight - 1st place 2005 ICC - Youthsava - 2nd place   2007 ICC- Youthsave - 1st place OSAAT - Naatyaraaga - 1st place   2008 OSAAT - Naatyaraaga - 1st place Nrityakalya mentioned in Osaat newsletter. 2009 OSAAT - Naatyaraaga - 3rd place. Performances:   Nrityakalya students have participated at various competitions and venues - India Community Center,OSAAT, Stepz's 'Spotlight'. The students have also participated in Bay Area Tamil Manram programs, Zingaris' dance troupe.
