We all have that one Sakhi in our lives at various stages. That one friend who knows all about you, your, deepest secrets, intimate desires, would do anything for you, or sometimes wouldn't do, who guides you, teaches you a thing or two about life and friendship. She would be ever-present to hear your voice, chiming in at all times, your cries, with thundering laughter or understanding when your mind is perplexed and being a beacon of clarity. She is your go-to person, your Confidante!
As I present my next solo-work, through a traditional Bharathanatyam repertoire - "Sakhiye!", please join with your Sakhis and Sakhas to reminisce the past and enjoy the show.
Very happy to team with Bay Area's incredibly outstanding musicians on the live orchestra. Smt Asha Ramesh on vocals, Smt Chetana Sastry on Nattuvangam, Sri Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan on Mridangam, Sri Ashwin Krishnakumar on flute and Smt Lakshmi Balasubramanian on Violin.
